If you are from the DG community and picked up or are planning on picking up borderlands on PC AND would like to play some co-op, send me a PM or add yourself to this thread.  I picked the game up today.  So far, me and trouser will be playing but adding a couple more people sounds great.  I'm planning on starting to play tonight (10/27).  I'll still be playing DG, but think this game will be some fun.

Hm.  I have seen this but not looked into it enough.

Is ir similar to RE5?  I have been playing that single player but there is a drop in co-op mode as well.

RE5 is awesome primarily for the co-op, at least IMO.  It has a fun core game but really shines when you and buddy work together.

I wouldn't necessarily compare it to RE5.  Perhaps Dialbo as a first person shooter would be more appropriate.  And from what I understand, difficulty scales based on the number of players.

Interesting..  I'll check it out.

Is it set up in such a way that people can drop in and out of a game you have running?

Also - how close in levels do you need to maintian?  It would be fun to co-op but if I fell behind..or started late..  would it be feasible?

I just read through this review and it answered all of my questions.  Well, as they pertain to this game at the moment...

Looks like it will be fun.  I'll look at picking it up when I get home.  I have seen it pop up on Steam but is it available on Impulse as well?  If not.... hmmm.  I am less and less a fan of retail boxes.  It seems that sometimes patches on steam take a little longer to surface than retail.  What version do you have pacov?

on Oct 27, 2009

Well, if you're ever on IRC in #stardock, myself, eetmorsqrls and annatar have been playing.

I bought it on steam as its not currently available on impulse.  add me as a friend in steam (pacov) when you get a chance.  I'm really looking forward to starting to play this one.

It would be nice to play online if GameSpy didn't fail. I was shocked to see GameSpy when I got the game. I feel like I'm playing some 3rd tier game from the 1990s. Anytime I try to go into the games list it just locks up.

I feel like the console version might be the way to go.

Hmm... no issue here re: getting into the gameslists.  Is there some app outside of the game you are referring to or are you having problems with it within the game?  That sucks... wonder if you need to forward ports or something...

My gamespy ID is pacov123.

If you want to play with, get a gamespy ID and post it here.  Thanks!

Gamespy..  now that's a name I've not heard in a long time...  a long time....

I have not used Gamespy in many years but I'll give it a shot
I have never really been able to embrace FPS's on a console..  I just miss my mouse and keyboard...

Thanks for posting this pacov.  I had barely looked at this game but now I am very intrigued.  I am planning on grabbing this when I get home.  Times like this I wish I had a remote connection to my computer at home so I could just start the download.  Would GotomyPC allow this to happen?

I'll add the list of names above and see what we can get going.
(Zoomba playing this as well I take it?  I chuckle a bit when I read your name..  one of my employees teached Zumba Gold)

Sounds like we will be able to jump in and out of multiplayer games fairly easily although it's doubtful that we will all be at the same point in the questline at all times.  We'll have to see how often/long people play and see if it is feasible to sync in some way.

Looking fwd: to it.

I'm hoping to get some co-op action in tomorrow night.

Maybe. I'll decide after I play a bit more. I have two characters at lvl 7. I'm honestly still not too sure how much I even like the game.
