Yeah - saw his win rate going up - someone did a vid a couple days back about korean solo queue and he was up there.  Anything special in the build or just decent in the meta?

Titanic hydra feels good on him. Sunfire also is very nice. Double knock up with ult+q combo also really nice in team fights. Passive is good for invades at level 1. No bad match ups as far as I know other than the obvious Quinn/graves/ranged people. Never really feels useless at any point in the game. Clears waves stupidly fast once he has sunfire.

Hey everyone, happy to see this forum alive!

Ive been playing demigod mid 2009- jan 2010, and then moved to League. Been playing it mostly till 2013, and after that its just keeping up with my plat rank + fun with friends and gamemodes.

Currently feel a little bit sad about League - Dominion got removed. So i was thinking about all the time i spent playing, and realized that league is such a wasted potential. Back then i dreamed about a lot of things - that Achievements tab, more maps to fill old world map you could see in customs, possible customization ways, balance changes and overall improvements.

Dont get me wrong, League is still a good game, but it could be MUCH better. And removal of dominion is like a knife to my heart.

Got diamond again last night. It was a 3-2 series and I almost through the last game at champ select because I didn't change my runes and masteries. Ended up playing brand with 0-12-18 set up. I had awesome sustain but zero damage haha. Thank god I had a strong team to get me through the crappy early game. I ended up doing pretty well but felt carried most of the game by all the other lanes (thank god we got kogmaw).

re: dominion - man, I never really got into that game mode.  Got super pumped when I heard about it.  Played it a bit, and then I was over it.  Just didn't like the pacing.  Still, bit of a bummer to see it go for folks that enjoyed it.  

@cow - well grats on Diamond.  Feels good to get carried man - especially if you are the guy that f'd up.  Glad you made it.

Lets see... new league friends app is for iOS and android.  You have to search "League Friends Riot" to find in the iOS store... which is kind of dumb, but if you don't, at least yesterday you would not have been able to find it.  

It works OK... not particularly good for me anyway.  Push notifications didn't do much.  Found out I got a message from hunny long after he sent it.  You can see your pals + any notes you left on them along with their rank and what they are doing (in queue, ranked, etc).  You can add notes if you want in the app.  Had to sign out/in to fix some weird stuff. Anyway, its free - worth checking out and theoretically a nice way to invite peeps to games.  

Other stuff - holy crap am I an awful lord outside of support atm.  On my alt account I don't really value elo anymore.  Not really on my main either.  That whole new queue thing (which rito mentioned like once and has since STFU about... bad sign, boys?) really put things a bit more in perspective. Let the solo queue be try hard that maters.  Let dynamic queue be try hard if my pals are try hard.  

Anyway, been putting in reps on some goofy things (goofy for me anyway).  I'm choosing to be very selfish in the lower elo queues (eg I'm not going to be the 1 guy that make your dummo comp work to be a sport - you all went squish overlords - bad news - I'm squish also).  I am starting to use pick intent alot more to make that very clear going in.

let's see - malz mid (im crap, kind of over that).  Lulu mid/top - getting better, still kind of crap.  quinn top - solid laning, unable to close out (need to kill the selfish in this elo and just group as the team will, of course, will engage into a 4v5 while I'm getting a turret.  Going to get pantheon on my acct next.  Basically I'm trying out a bunch of different things and trying to learn quite a bit while I'm playing these champs/roles I'm so so with.  I think I'll probably settle back into support once my good ol pal zz returns.  That dumb ol item often makes support very enjoyable on the lower side of elo (eg every game I built it on morg).  

All said and done, still stuck in a weird place where I can't play games with all my pals on my main account.  Need to get mr boaz up to gold at least and things should even out a bit. Haven't played a seriously even match in a while though as most my games are on my lower elo acct atm.  

I've been trying to keep up on updates on Solo Queue.  Last official one was where Lyte responded on Reddit three weeks ago:

It's taken just over a week to launch the new Champ Select to multiple regions around the world, and we still have a few servers to go. Once every server has the new Champ Select and Dynamic Queues, we need to go through a few cycles of peak times, see how the system performs on weekends, and do some pretty heavy monitoring to ensure that the new platform and system can withstand spikes in players like for the upcoming Lunar New Year or Easter weekend.

During this period we'll be continuing to tweak matchmaking (especially for high skill players), monitor queue dodging/lock in fail rates, and implement a bunch of the features that players have been asking such as hiding pick intent from the opposing team, adding skin purchasing back to Champ Select and doing a timing pass on Champ Select so the entire experience is a bit quicker.

There's also some development work left to finish Solo Queue, and we potentially may have to do additional stress testing and optimize hardware again to ensure a smooth launch. When we made the original announcement of Solo Queue, we expected to finish it in the timeline of weeks to month or two, and we'll update everyone as we go."

WHAT IS PURE SOLO RANKED QUEUE?

Pure Solo Ranked Queue allows players to enter ranked matches in the new Champion Select without any premade matches. All 10 players in the match will be solo queue players.

In past seasons you could always bring a friend with you to help you climb the ranked ladder. Now you must face the Pure Solo Queue challenge alone!

Yes! However, your performance in Pure Solo Ranked Queue will influence your initial MMR in Dynamic Groups. If you already placed in Dynamic Groups before entering Pure Solo Ranked Queue, your performance in Pure Solo Ranked Queue will not affect your rating in the Dynamic Groups. Your performance in Dynamic Groups will never affect your rating in Pure Solo Ranked Queue.

Got in a few games with hunny and bryff yesterday.  Didn't have a lot of time, but got a few easy wins.  finally unlocked panth on my alt and found him to be "somewhat" effective.  I don't play much pantheon out side of the occasionally jungle panth stint from when he was soloing drakes at level 3... anyway, my mechanics are kind of smeh, but I found him fairly easy to CS with and still reasonably strong post nerf (I think I remember him taking a nerf this patch, but probably not...).

It's worth noting he's still in like the top 5 out of all champs for win rate now... which tends to indicate strength in meta/perhaps something is a wee bit OP with an AVG win rate of 54% or so.  I'm guessing a bit of the strength comes from him being a lane bully and being able to run ignite to start the snowball.  I'm running him with the FOTM windspeaker or w/e keystone - do a bunch of dmg and get a MS buff/slow reduction.  I'm sure I'm still quite bad with him, but I'm planning on getting some reps in to up my skill level anyway.  

League is currently jacked.  Had a few patches to download.  Rango/aatrox disabled.  LARGE login queue.

Might want to start a login when you get home if you are looking to play later.

Anyone use the target only champs hot key?  I never really did, but I think I probably should.  Panth and lulu in particular... i end up missing certain casts and hitting creeps instead..

I never was a hardcore dominion player, but i certanly played it once in a while.

1. After soloranked frustration nothing was better than a dominion.

2. New champion playtest - always played new champs one game in custom - then dominion, to test them in action.

3. Weird builds on old champions - played all the possible stuff in dominion - AP rengar, AP varus, hybrid Nasus, Hybrid TF, AP Yasuo and so on. Most of these builds get destroyed on lane phase, but they are crazy in action.

4. Just for fun - from time to time dominion is just like what you wanted to play. Tired from laning phase, from supporting, from same champions wrecking you over and over again - dominion was the right place to just relax.

So im really upset about this. I feel like i tested almost everything crazy possible in league, New champions often do not even offer a possibillity of an offbuild. I could get to diamond - but that would require too much concetration and pressure, playing your strongest champs and roles even if you dont want to, and more of this stuff i dont really like. Maybe later this year, but now i clearly can find something better to do. And poof - i dont really have much to do in league. My fun mode is gone, aram is not really type of fun i want. Only thing i would like to do this season is getting ranked 3s team to platinum. And playing Bard. Bard is only way for me to fun if your ADC is flamer or just complete jerk.

I kind of thought the buff was going to be pretty huge (w's crit change).  Still not a big sivir fan, but yeah, she's looking MUCH stronger.  That's kind of a ridiculous win rate change.

Played a bit with hunny/boaz last few nights.  I started playing on a 3rd alt account last night and just played some norms.  Was using jhin as he's free.  God, he's poop, but of so much fun.  The damage at range is just... sick once you get rolling.  Very fun - that 4th his of his ult.  

So, nauts apparently super swell top lane now.  I see why (tanky, lots of peel, good initiator).  Not really something I really find all that fun (I'm really not digging low dps tanks atm, so mostly a personal thing) - pretty good pick for your team at any rate.  

So, I've been playing a bit of panth here and there.  Most of the time I'm running the keystone that gives you the move speed buff if you do X dmg + slow reduction.  I find that's really good for the chase potential and keeping you from getting kited a bit. Anyone have any thoughts on that mastery with him? I've seen a few pros use it at least.

I've also used DFT on him - makes good sense to me for the added dmg.  I think the speed buff is a better choice for me anyway.

Played a few with hunny/karls last night.  Did a few arams then I was pumped to get back on my main and play some support.  Had some fun games.
