I've been looking over the net and haven't found an answer for this one yet.  Figured I'd take a shot here. So, I picked up an ivy bridge cpu and the asus P8Z77-V Pro motherboard.  I also picked up a nice SSD.  Anyway, the motherboard has the intel sata 6 interface and an additional sata 6 interface via the ASMedia® PCIe SATA controller . Should I be using the intel sata 6 interface or the asmedia one for best performance?  I'm not running a raid...

I'll be posting a write up sometime in the next day.  Just wanted to create a thread so I'd be sure to follow up.  Random comment 1 - I'm pacov.  I came to follow and love SD via Demigod.  After the impulse sale, the performance on the DG forums for posting has been rot.  Help me ob1.  That said, I usually post through joe user after realizing this. Anyway, the short version is that my experience with windows 8 was about what I thought it would be....
