The 2nd deck is ez-pz Priest bait, but unfortunately i don't have any priest cards, nor do i have Alex. Like i said, i tried Druid first but i think Druid is going to be too-slow for a lot of the heroic content...

Wow - so some pretty substantial improvements in my net speed etc.  I THINK I have have my stream down to zero lag and I currently believe I may have solved my netflix problem with QOS built in to the ddrt. 

The main thing I learned about QOS that is worth passing along.  Do a speed test if possible with nothing else going on the network.  Take the result and drop out 80%.  Use that setting for your bandwidth.  This is particularly good in my setup where I have more download bandwidth than I really need, but plenty of things that could suck up the bandwidth. 

Anyway, fairly pleased with the results today.  If needed, I'm going to move onto a next step where I ssh and directly remove bandwidth of certain devices... which, as I understand it, bypasses QOS... but its a bit more complicated and requires me to do a bit of reading up to understand the parameters in the commands... and understand why I can't run those commands on MAC addresses instead of IP addresses... much to learn.  BUT - I think I solved all of my non riot problems.. atm. 

Any thoughts on the wrecking that occurred when we went up against the challenger team or is it just like "they are better than us?"  Curious for feedback.  Felt like we were doing well enough bot lane but thunder had a rough game and died a few times which swung the lane out of control... not that we had a chance in hell considering everything else that was going on.  felt like we never really had a chance to get going at any rate. 

Anyway, game 2 felt a bit messy as well, but obv much, much easier. 

edit - also - thunder - so did you fully sort your net issues out or still some lag/ping probs?

They were just better players. I felt completely out classed despite killing syndra 1v1.

I thought I could play with the big dogs but that team showed me that I have plenty to learn yet. Especially that 1v4 jinx quadra kill.... like wtf??? how do you do that?

Re: Lag

Every once in a while I get a minor ping spike.  We're talking a couple seconds at the most where my ping will go from the normal 95 to 150-200.  This is compared to having things completely shut down and having the <ATTEMPTING TO RECONNECT> message pop up sometimes.  It's still early so my fingers are crossed, but it looks good.  If the neighbor tries to throttle me down again then I'll get my own line and let the other neighbors know the situation when they're dealing with whatever consequences come from stealing cable, if any.  Doubt it will come to that though, since splices originate from the neighbor with the internet.

Re: Outclassed 

I'll try my best not to be offended by people pointing out my struggles in that game and then asking if I'm still having lag issues.  

As far as my end goes, I was simply outclassed.  I'm not sure what the better overall strategy would have been that would have lead to me not dying in lane.  I could have not bothered to try and support Karl when he was invaded, not tried to make plays that had a low chance of success against Challenger/Diamond players, sacrificed the tower earlier, etc.  

The way I saw it was that we had a choice.  There is the option of taking chances and trying to stand our ground to mix it up more which I saw of having at least a small chance of staying competitive with the benefit of being good practice for us.  Or we could have accepted how things were likely to go and tried to mitigate the loss.  I didn't see much point in the latter, since I wasn't feeling that we had the advantage on paper over anyone else and thus I wasn't hopeful that the Lose Lane Gracefully And Pray Cow/Karl/Hedgie Will Carry strat was going to get us a win.

I'm fine with playing safer next time we run into that situation if that's what you guys want.  And if you guys have someone else more skilled than I that would give you a better chance to win against that caliber of opponent, I will not be offended at all if I don't get an invite to a game.

Re: that game vs magical high diamond challenger folks - can anyone think of something we could have done differently?  We seemed to phase from kinda serious, to frustrated, to some folks giving up, to some folks still trying to be serious (pacov), to ah well (pacov).  Thunder and I tried to roll to karl at one point during a jungle fight, but we weren't able to do anything as the fight dragged away from us - and that attempt cost us some.  I think we had some poo communication there.  But seriously, anyone have any thoughts on things we could have done to do better in the game (remove any "this is an insult to me" concepts please) - really curious. 

Oh - and I take back everything bad I ever said about gp.  I enjoyed playing him top and ulting for assists in our last game of the night with cow (pacov gp top, cow donger mid, urgot jungle, ahri/teemo bot).  I think we've found our new team comp for ranked 5's.  Karl - please put some time into your urgot jangle asap. 

Nah, I was just kidding around about the lag comment.  Didn't take offense, just having fun pointing out that it could be taken the wrong way.

Karl, will not be learning Junglegot as I will become the team's full time jungler and play Urgy exclusively... unless picked or banned.

After reading about you guys facing a high diamond team I wanted to check it out.

So I had some extra time tonight so I spent some time updating the look of my stream.  Anyone have any thoughts?  Do me a favor and take a look if you have not.  I have a new out of game setup, a new loading screen setup, and a new in game setup.  I'm also looking for feedback on volume levels.  If you get a chance, please take a look at the latest archive stream or check it out live tomorrow at some point.  Thanks!
