Well, my life's goal has finally been met.  I have become level 5 blitzcrank.  The ranked world no longer holds any meaning. 

I promoted to level 5 at the same time as a katarina yesterday.  She congratulated us both by saying - grats blitz -we made it.  I replied by saying - at long last, we have proved that we are able to play a champion multiple times to the world!  Dumb arse system.  Would be nice if it actually meant anything other than "plays champion a bunch."  Still, it did get me focused on spamming one champ for a bit... which I guess is a thing that happened. 

bleh - I miss all the lol tourney games on the week/weekend.  Hopefully that will be back soonish. 

Speaking of LCS:

• Hai is no longer the mid for c9 he is being replaced by some dude named Incarnation
• Link left CLG and "retired" he is being replaced by Pobelter (pubebelter)
• There is a rumor that doublelift is retiring
• Krepo is going to return to a casting/analyst role for riot
• rekkles is back on Fnatic replacing steel
• TIP and TSM are unchanged in NA
• Unicorns of Love and H2K are unchanged in EU

There were a few more things that changed but I forgot most of them since they are on teams I could care less about.

Congrats Pacov!  We'll miss you during your upcoming NA absence while you become a El Nivel Cinco Blitzcrank Maestro in LAN for the next couple of weeks.

Anyway, talented little fugger (he's quite skilled), but pretty good odds still a fugger.  

I don't think I'd pull that off on lan for quite some time.  That's a blitzcrank pun and also kind of true.  Even if I won every game, it would take like 80+ hours to get that on blitz.  Queue time in team builder, even for a support at my level, is garbage. Anyway, I'm over lan for a bit.  I tend to get super into crap for a bit and then fizzle out.

I'm more excited about Ali turning an entire minion wave into a mass of mini-murder machines every time he activates his heal.

wut... that applies to creeps... jebus... I mean, it written that way -"another unit," but I doubt that would apply to minions.  Otherwise battle ali in top lane going to be sick.  Just consider any trade near creeps.  Press heal once and do a knock up, now a full wave of creeps is doing + 30 mg damage each... all targeting the enemy champ.  Obv also strong on support, but I'm thinking top lane would just be completely ridiculous.  Anyway, guessing that won't apply to Ali unless they are silly.

Better start practicing Prince ALI top again... rofl

Ardent Censure does work on Alistar + minions at the moment. There's just a huge difference between "just" +25% AS and +30% AS and +30 magic damage...

i fully expect that to get fixed though. good catch by Thunder in any case.

@Cow: When are you taking the GRE? Seems awfully late since you have to go thru your application process? i had to have my GRE done by April 1st. Best of luck in any case.

I plan on applying for Spring admissions so due dates for applying to most schools for spring are October 1st. I will probably take the GRE in August/September.

@hedgie - yeah - what is that servo thing?  Noticed it awhile ago and never got around to asking. 

Haven't checked on folks ranked status in a bit.  Made note of a few things - thunder and hedgie have been spending some time here and there in ranked.  Hedgie is now gold 2 with 100lp - so the climb to plat is nearly done.  Thunder is gold 4 atm moving up and down here and there.  Karl doesn't seem to be all that into ranked solo queue this season and I'm guessing is just going to shoot for hitting perhaps plat in ranked team (no idea btw - just my thoughts).  I'm kind of in a holding pattern and very slowly knocking out ranked games. 

I kind of want to start doing more ranked solo... but Im in a adc/support primary mode... which means I get boned by duo queues.  Really looking forward to ranked team builder.  

The only cool thing about ranked solo/duo is that it forces you to be decent more roles. I would be absolutely thrilled to be able to queue up for a specific role in ranked every single game without having to concern myself with nonsense.  god.. currently I don't even like normals unless I can guarantee I get the role I want and prefer team builder even if it means meh matchups (that will change whenever I get fugged several times in a row).

Ranked Team Builder is a ways off I believe.  And it might never get off the ground due to unresolved issues and to be honest I hope it doesn't personally.  

Yes, think about this for a second.  They institute Ranked Teambuilder.  Pete can play Malz every game now and gets to Plat IV.  Pete is now a 'better' player than you are.

Anyway, why don't you take advantage of the Ranked Teambuilder version they have right now:  Duo Queuing?

I rarely see people force Duo's to break up.  It's kinda understood that they kinda 'should' get their roles.  And that they might be really awful at everything else since they've gotten to where they're at on the ladder by playing one role.

I know Hunny is gone but there is a League Personals section where you could maybe find someone else to go Bot with.
