So, I've been playing Rengar a bit. He works pretty decently in the jungle.

What was up with all the pinging last night?  I know that it really aggravated Cow and Dan, so we should not do that.  Was it some kind of bug or something?

pretty sure it was cow.  Annoyed me as well (particularly when he acted like it was me).   Just before all the annoying arse pings happened, cow pinged one of the enemy champs over and over (showed up in chat)... then, once he finished his time out due to spammed pings, he starting pinging other things at a slower pace.  As he was the only person spamming ping just before it happened and was tilting, seems likely.  Figure we'd have seen a post on reddit if it was something patch related.

Anyway, bummed we could only get 1 ranked game when we had the numbers for a bit longer, but a break was needed it seems.  Certainly felt like I could have played better and then I did blow it at the end.  Def hope we can avoid gnarvan in the future.  I think you are silly if you don't think that is good combo.  Still think we should prob treat j4 as a must get or must ban. 

I don't act like a child in game.  

I don't think that it was Cow since I don't think he was happy about the pings.  Could have been some weird 1 off bug.

J4 isn't as good as Vi or Nid this patch I don't think, but there is a problem where there are 4 must bans (Nid, J4, Vi, and Liss) if we are second pick.  So we probably did it wrong in hindsight.

In cases like that where they don't ban any of the 4, we have to leave both Vi and J4 up so that we get 1 of the 2 and they get the other.  I shouldn't have said to ban Vi.

So first 2 bans are Liss/Nid, then if they don't ban J4/Vi as their 3rd, we leave them both so that we get one of them (and they get the other).  That way we split power junglers.

Pantheon is really good early, but just doesn't keep up with J4/Vi late.  It was a problem.

as you say - apologies if it wasn't you pinging then.  Glad whoever was doing it eventually knocked it off at any rate.  That leaves hunny and I didn't think he was tilted.  w/e - hopefully that's the end of shite like that.

Not sure re: the pick/ban.  I agree re keeping vi/j4 up or banning out both if we led with a ban of one of them.  I'd be ok with we got j4 and they got vi, but not the other way around.  I think liss is less of a threat.  And you kids like to carry on about nidalee.  My number 1 priority for bans is to make sure the enemy team does not get j4.  Even with the nerf, I still think he's too useful (obv gnarvan makes it worse).  Anyway, he's pick or ban status for me.  We'll see how his win rate looks in a few days, but the utility is still really strong.  Kalista seems to be hit and miss for us.  Apparently irelia/liss are good at shutting her down, but I think I'm the only one that plays those ladies. 

Anyway, here's my ban list

• j4 is banned unless we have 1st pick
• if j4 is already banned and we don't have 1st pick, we ban vi (we can vi through if needed, though)
• nidalee/kalista... MAYBE liss take up the other slots - so, we start with a nidalee ban

my pick list

• Get j4 if 1st pick

Vi is a better jungler than J4 on this patch.  They were real close last patch, and J4 took pretty decent hits.

The ban approach that I outlined guarantees that we break even with respect to the top 4 bans.  We don't face Nid/Liss and we play a J4/Vi jungle matchup.  So its a draw.

Your idea will force us to play against Liss/Nid sometimes while we don't get a top 4 champion in return, which I don't want to do.

I really don't think vi is more valuable than j4.  To the point that I think picking up vi instead of j4 is a mistake (on 2nd thought).  I don't consider it a breaking even trade.  I still think j4 is more valuable due to higher uptime on more reliable cc.  Basically, I think he's en easier champ to play with more consistent results than vi.  Def not bad to have vi on the team - I'd take a skilled j4 over a skilled vi now and think this should be an axiom - j4 is banned unless we have 1st pick

also factor in that if we don't have someone that is playing gnar for us in top lane and we let j4 through, we now should consider banning gnar as well. 

When did you become Best Irelia On The Team?  Bryff says hi.  He's got a lot of experience with her and plays her with a high win % in Ranked SoloQ.

Your Liss is solid though.  That's going to be a great option for the team at times IMO.

Edit:  And in my opinion Vi > J4 now.

Don't agree.  I don't feel like giving them Vi for free every game (or Liss or Nid).  It doesn't make sense just because you have J4 much higher on your personal tier list with respect to Vi than most of the rest of the world.

bryff's on the ranked team?  let me know when he plays with us and he can do that top irel (not that I have any say in that ).  I like his irel just fine btw... he  just doesn't really play ranked w/ us and I don't consider him part of the conversation as such. 

I don't think I'm saying anything all that surprising re: j4.  prob best to just ban then both and suck it up if needed.  my 2 cents.   you're entitled to yours ofc.
